We belong to the mountains and to the vast open spaces—to this small, vibrant town we call home.
Lander is a place of beauty, self-sufficiency, and small-town values.
Lander is a place of beauty, self-sufficiency, and small-town values. It is a place of belonging—a place where we take pride in our genuine commitment to home and community.
We are ranchers and creatives. Teachers and leaders. Outdoor enthusiasts of every kind. We work with our hands and our minds to preserve family history and to create new histories. Our passions are different, but we all look in the same direction—towards the mountains. Towards something bigger than ourselves.
Community is who we are—and how we take care of each other.
We’re bound by place—but we are also bound by each other. Our community is drawn together by the connections we make with one another—and to the shared intention of improving the quality of life of all people in Lander, Wyoming.
At the Lander Community Foundation, we believe that community is something deeply shared, with a wide reach. Something rooted in hard-work and hope that looks towards an even better future.
We are creating a stronger community. A community that looks after each other. A community that builds on our common ground.
The mission of the Lander Community Foundation is to create a stronger community by: (1) promoting philanthropy, (2) encouraging effective giving, and (3) facilitating volunteerism. We also provide leadership on issues that are important to our community.
We are committed to strengthening non-profit groups by helping them to build capacity. Everyone benefits when people do their best work. We also provide technical assistance and help build partnerships between non-profits, businesses, the state, and individuals throughout Lander.
We are bound by the shared interest in creating abundance in the ways that matter—in the ways that truly improve the quality of life for all people in our community.
