With a population of four people per square mile, Fremont County, WY is considered a frontier community. Frontier areas face even more amplified difficulties compared to more common rural areas when it comes to maintaining their healthcare workforce and offering quality and effective healthcare options.
The heart of our mission at Anam Cara Caregiving is to bridge the gaps in the medical system—through custom caregiving, education, and emotional support—so those with progressive illness and at the end-of-life can still experience a connected and meaningful life. We bring a high-quality, innovative, and well executed human model of care to our frontier community.
In late 2021, Anam Cara Caregiving had the opportunity to shift from for-profit to nonprofit to help support our mission and fundraise to keep our services affordable. LCF held our hands and provided space for all of our questions through our transition. We were incredibly grateful for the opportunity to fundraise and increase awareness about our mission through Challenge for Charities in 2022.
